Matthew 9:17 – “Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
Isaiah 6:8 – “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”
Matthew 9:37–38 – “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’”
Day 7: The Generation of Reformers
We have reached the culmination of this spiritual journey, and the final charge is clear: God is actively raising up a generation of reformers to step into the vanguard and become the new leadership of the church. These are not individuals seeking platforms or personal accolades; they are believers deeply broken for their generation, completely consecrated to the purposes of God.
To contain what God is about to do, we must undergo a structural transformation. The Holy Spirit is preparing the church for an unprecedented, massive end-time harvest of souls, and this harvest requires a “new wineskin.” The old mindsets of religious routine, consumer Christianity, and spiritual passivity cannot hold the new wine of the Spirit’s power. We must allow God to stretch us, break our rigid traditions, and mold us into vessels capable of carrying His final outpouring.
“Give me one hundred men who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergymen or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon earth.” ~ John Wesley
When the inevitable storms of the last days shake society, the world will desperately search for stability. The Remnant Company—the new wineskin—is called to be a foundation of hope and a profound calm in the midst of the cultural chaos. While others are gripped by panic, the reformer stands firm, anchored in the unshakeable kingdom of God.
“The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By the grace of God, I aim to be that man.” ~ D.L. Moody
The final question echoing from the battlefield of these last days is simple: Will you be the one? When the battle lines seem blurred and others around you fall into compromise, there is a voice calling out for someone who is not afraid to be a beacon in the night. God is looking for individuals who will boldly step forward, answer His call, and intentionally carry His light into a darkened world. The choice is entirely up to you.
Reflection Question
- Knowing that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few, are you ready to surrender your own plans and declare to the Lord, “I will be the one to answer Your call”?
Life Application
- Shed the Old Wineskin: Identify any old religious habits, cynical mindsets, or personal comforts that are preventing you from being fully useful to God. Ask the Holy Spirit to break those old patterns and make you a flexible, new wineskin.
- Be a Beacon of Hope: Cultivate spiritual stability. When people around you talk about fear, inflation, or political turmoil, intentionally shift the conversation to the hope, sovereignty, and peace found in Christ.
- Make the Daily Declaration: Begin every morning by telling the Lord, “I will be the one today.” Look for at least one practical opportunity each day to share the gospel, serve a stranger, or stand up for biblical truth.
Father God,
We hear Your voice calling out in the night for laborers, and we refuse to remain silent. We lift our hands and our hearts to You today and declare: Here am I, send me! I will be the one. We choose to answer Your call, to stand firmly when those around us fall, and to boldly take Your light into a darkened world.
Lord, strip away our old ways of thinking. Mold us, shape us, and transform us into the new wineskins required for this hour. We pray that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us and cause us to be a company of great harvesters at the end of the age. Use our lives, our families, and our resources to bring many sons and daughters into Your kingdom. Let us live the life of Christ Jesus so clearly before men that we become a foundation of hope in the midst of the storm.
In the mighty, matchless name of Jesus, Amen.
