Joel 2:32 – “And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”
John 14:12 – “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
Day 5: The Remnant Company and the Benjamin Generation
As we observe the shifting spiritual climate of the last days—navigating the collapse of worldly systems and the sober reality of a cultural falling away—God simultaneously unveils an incredibly glorious mystery. He is not leaving the earth without a witness. Right alongside the shaking, the Lord is calling forth, assembling, and preparing what Scripture calls a holy “remnant company”.
To understand your place in this hour, you must understand the distinction of Mount Zion. In prophetic terms, Zion represents a deep position in Christ—it is the dwelling place of the Lord’s immediate presence. The remnant company is not made up of ordinary, passive believers who simply coast along on Sunday mornings; it is a church within the church, composed of those who actively seek the face of God, refuse to give up, and refuse to quit regardless of the opposition stacked against them.
“God is looking for those with whom He can do the impossible—what a pity that we plan only the things we can do by ourselves.” — A.W. Tozer
There is a heavy, sobering prophetic destiny resting upon this generation. God is currently breathing upon a distinct group of people—a “Benjamin generation”—marked by a double-portion anointing, specifically reserved to usher in the final harvest before the close of the age. Jesus promised that those who anchor their lives completely in Him would walk in “greater works”. This isn’t a promise of human fame or prideful display; it is a declaration that an uncompromised company of everyday ministers will pour out supernatural light, deliverance, and hope into a world covered in deep darkness.
“The world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to Him. By the grace of God, I aim to be that man.” — D.L. Moody
The enemy will use every background distraction, physical trial, and spiritual hurdle to try to wear you down and convince you to drop your sword. Do not succumb to discouragement, and do not let the negative currents of this world dictate your speech. Walk entirely by faith and not by sight, continually confessing what the Word of God declares about your identity. You have been specifically chosen and positioned for this exact hour to serve as a beacon of unshakeable truth.
Reflection Questions
- What does it mean to you personally to be part of a “remnant company” rather than just an ordinary, comfortable believer in today’s culture?
- In what areas of your life have distractions or opposition tempted you to give up, and how can you actively choose to lean into God’s power to “not quit”?
Life Application
- Speak the Positive of Faith: Actively guard the power of your tongue. Intentionally reject patterns of speaking fear, doubt, or cultural negativity, and replace them with bold, daily confessions of biblical truth over your life and family.
- Position Yourself in Zion: Commit to a lifestyle of seeking the Lord’s presence through deeper prayer and uncompromised devotion, moving past religious routine into a real, burning relationship with Christ.
- Step Boldly into Everyday Ministry: Recognize that God has placed an anointing on your life to be a light in dark spaces. Look for immediate, practical opportunities this week to pray for others, declare deliverance, and demonstrate the “greater works” of His love.
Almighty Father, the Lord of the Harvest,
You are the God who calls things that are not as though they were. We thank You that even when darkness covers the earth, Your glory rises over Your people. We hear Your voice calling us out of spiritual passivity and drawing us into a deep, unshakeable position in Mount Zion. Forgive us for the moments we have underestimated who we are in Christ, or where we have allowed the heavy opposition of the enemy to cause us to stumble or contemplate quitting.
Lord, we ask that You put a divine hedge of protection around this generation. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us in a fresh, unprecedented measure, and awaken the deep prophetic destiny You have written over our lives. Break every chain of discouragement, fear, and silent compromise. Grant us the unwavering endurance to stand tall as a true remnant company, refusing to bow to the deceptive patterns of this age.
We declare by faith that we will walk out the “greater works” You have promised. Give us bold mouths to speak life, clean hands to minister grace, and courageous hearts to carry Your light into the deepest darkness. We stand firm together, trusting that You will use us to bring many sons and daughters into Your eternal Kingdom.
In the mighty, victorious, and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
